This is a trunk or canteen of the German army, dating from 1942.

It's a sturdy trunk that seems to have been buzzed.

It's equipped with an armored padlock from the famous German brand BURG.
We notice the association of the Burg brand with the small pictogram visible
in photograph No. 10.

On the padlock it is engraved its characteristics, it is said that it is
armored:

BURG - Panzer-berfalle mit st-hlernenPanzergliedern u. st-hlerner B-gels D. B.
P.

Its stickers, patina, bumps and pods make it a superb vintage object of
industrial decoration that is functional.

On the top the letters and numbers are embossed:
C 224
LAY / C I 1942

On the top is painted the name of a neighborhood in the United Kingdom:
Draycott
Keston Park
Kent

On the back side the address is painted in the so-called neighborhood:
Draycott
48 Broadpark RO
Devon Torquay

On each side there is a Tripoli sticker.
