1930s 40s evening purse has lavish, heavy beadwork, styled like something a
Hollywood goddess would wear! This hand beaded formal bag is a classic size and
color, in a sumptuous draped design with wave-like deeply pinched pleats to the
top, and rich rope-like beaded braids as trim and strap. This purse is fully
lined in satin. It was worn along with a custom made black sequined dress in
1938.

Condition Detail
Pristine to the outside with several bare spots at the top edge of satin
lining where a seam is sewn, the seam itself is intact but the satin is
threadbare in small spots in a row here, this currently shows tan paperboard
underneath, could easily be blackened with marker to essentially make it
invisible

If needed, blot with a damp cloth, or professionally spot at dry cleaner's
